TRAINING DAYS at the PRENTICE CREEK EQUESTRIAN CENTRE - Rocky Mountain House, Alberta

DRESSAGE "RIDE A TESTS" --- SHOWJUMPING SCHOOLING ROUNDS  ---  CROSS COUNTRY SCHOOLING

CEDF is pleased to present a weekend full of educational opportunities and great training preparation for the 2023 season!

Participation is flexible - participants are welcome to arrive on June 8  and stay until Sunday June 11; or registrants may choose to come for only specific days as their time permits.  There will flexible training opportunities in the three phases of Eventing:  Dressage, ShowJumping and Cross Country.  

*Stabling is available.  

**There are no haul in fees for those wanting to come for a day!

Coaches are encouraged to bring their lesson programs for a great training preparation weekend at Prentice Creek Equestrian in Rocky Mountain House.  

Registrants who are not able to come with their own coach are welcome to reach out to the following coaches for coaching opportunities during the weekend:

***Coaching fees are set by, and paid directly to coaches.  Coaches manage their own coaching schedules.   Coaching fees are not included in CEDF registration.

Dressage "Ride a Tests"

Registrants will have the opportunity to ride 2023 EC Eventing Dressage tests with a licensed Equestrian Canada Judge.  Tests will be marked and comments will be provided.

ShowJumping Schooling Rounds

Registrants will have the opportunity to complete full, professional course Showjump schooling rounds.  Courses will be set for schooling rounds by level.

• Course Heights from X-Rails to 1.15m's  
• Scheduled Breaks for course walks prior to beginning of each height class. Class schedule will be scheduled by coaches/riders in "white board" format to allow coaching groups to go school "efficently" together.  
• Round tickets may be purchased online or with cash at the gate.  Please bring exact change.
• Warm Up Ring will be available for warm-up coaching pre-round.  Positive, encouraging, schooling round format in ring, however rounds must "move along".

Cross Country Schooling

Only insured coaches that have registered in advance will be permitted to take students out on the cross country.

• Cross Country Schooling Time Slots will be available for insured coach bookings throughout the day.  
• Coaching fees are payable directly to the coach.  No other xc fees are required to be paid by coaches or riders to access the cross country course.
• Coaches may book the  Slots in 1.5 Hour Increments.  
• Maximum 3 coaches on cross-country course at a time, staggered 'area' times to avoid congestion.
• Coaching will be available for bookings for riders without coaches.
• Riders may only access the Cross-Country Course with an insured coach who has a booked time slot.

• Education sessions will be scheduled throughout the weekend.  
• Food Truck will be onsite for the weekend.
• Flexible Stabling, Power Hookups, Camping, and Haul In options are available.

REQUIREMENTS

RIDERS

• All riders and horse combinations must register prior to closing date.  One registration is required for each Horse/Rider Combination.  Registration and Stabling Payments must be complete by closing date.  
• All horses must provide a negative coggins test and proof of vaccinations within 12 months of June 11, 2023. Proof of Vaccinations and Negative Coggins Test must be provided by closing date. 
• All riders must provide valid AEF memberships.  
• Certified approved helmets must be worn when on a horse at all times. 
• Certified approved vests must be worn on cross country.
• Registants must sign 2023 Prentice Creek and CEDF Waivers, as well as applicable waivers required by coaches.
• Riders are responsible to pay coaching fees directly with coaches.

COACHES

• Coaches must register in advance and book time slots to take students out on cross country. No cost for coaches to register.  
• Registration will include coaches bio and contact information, approximate number of students who will attend, proof of insurance, availability if coach is willing to coach additional riders over the weekend.
• Students will book coaching directly with coaches, and pay coaching fees directly to coaches, and sign any coach specific waivers directly with coaches.  Coaching fees are set by coaches.

Training Days Fees:

• Registration Fee:  $50 per horse/rider combination (once only for weekend)
• Dressage Ride A Tests:  $30 / test 
• ShowJump Schooling Rounds: $25 / round  
• Cross Country - FREE.  MUST book with insured coach.  Coaching fees payable directly to coaches.

Stabling:

• Indoor Stabling
• Outdoor Stabling
• All Stalls must be stripped clean upon departure or a $100 cleaning fee will apply
• Efforts will be made to stable groups together where possible
• No Haul In Fees 

Camping

• Dry Camping Only  - Free
